Conduct your site audit
To review your site or online store, use our checklists. And only when you are sure that your site is in order, move on to its promotion.
Select keywords
Keywords are a set of words that describe the topic of each site page. Users enter queries into search engines, and if site keywords match these queries, the site will be displayed in the search.
Add custom texts
Text is the basis of any site, which allows Google to assess how exactly the site page corresponds to the user's query. Search engines don't like plagiarism, so all the text on your site should be unique at least 90%. The text should also be useful for the site visitor: tell about your advantages, delivery and payment terms, current discounts and special offers, and gently push the visitor to place the order.
Add custom photos and videos
Users fall in love with their eyes. The higher the quality of your photo and video content, the longer the user stays on your site and is more likely to place an order for a product or service.
Fill in page metadata
Each site page has two main meta tags: Title and Description. When a user enters a search query into the search bar, Google displays sites based on these tags.
Check H1 heading for all pages
Add one H1 heading to each site page, which reflects the page theme and purpose. It also helps Google understand how accurately the page matches the user's query.
Check image ALT tags
The Google search engine doesn't recognize what's in the photo. To help it identify the photo content, add the Alt tag. When the user enters a query in the search, the corresponding image is displayed.
Check your site for duplicate pages, broken links, and 404 pages
Another important parameter for search engines is the site quality that is determined by how well the site is working. It shouldn't have the same pages, broken links, and links that lead to pages that don't work.
Set up a favicon
A favicon is a small icon that is associated with the selected site. It's located in the browser tab next to the site name. The favicon should reflect the site theme and purpose, be memorable, and unique.
Add your site to Google Search Console
Google Search Console shows site statistics, quality, and position. You can find it here: search.google.com/search-console
Connect Google Analytics to your site
Google Analytics is a handy tool that shows various reports on visitors and their behavior on your site. It displays gender, age, and devices that they used to visit your site.
